HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO SCHEDULE MY TRANSPORT?
It is highly recommended that you book your transport services as early as possible. The more advance notice that we receive, the greater chance of scheduling the pick up as close to your requested date as we can.  Normally, the pick up date will be 1 to 10 days after receipt of your deposit.

DO I HAVE TO BE PRESENT AT PICK UP AND DESTINATION POINTS?
You or your designated representative must be present at both sites. The transporter will not accept your vehicle without an authorized signature nor will he/she deliver the vehicle without an authorized signature on the Bill of Lading.

WHAT CAN I PACK IN MY CAR?
Personal items are limited to a maximum of 100 pounds and must be packed in the trunk or cargo area of the vehicle(s). The Carrier’s insurance does not cover loss of your personal property and will not be responsible for any loss or damage.

CAN I SCHEDULE MY PICK UP AND DELIVERY AT A SPECIFIC DATE AND TIME?
We will do everything possible to pick up and deliver your vehicle to accommodate your schedule. We will notify you immediately after your vehicle(s) is dispatched. You will be given both the names of the Carrier and the transporter. The transporter will contact you 12-24 hours prior to pick up and delivery depending upon his/her cell phone range. However, it is impossible to be finite in the transportation industry due to the many variables.

HOW DO I PAY FOR THE SERVICES?
Payment for services is divided into a deposit which is payable prior to scheduling and the balance which is payable to the Carrier. Visa or MasterCard, Postal money order or cashier’s check, can be used to pay the deposit (payable to Experienced Auto Transport'). The balance is payable to the Carrier at the pick up or delivery point. The Carrier will only accept cash, Postal money order or cashier’s check.

DO YOU GUARANTEE PICK UP AND DELIVERY?
We guarantee that we will schedule your pick up within 10 days. If we cannot, you may request that your deposit be returned. Due to conditions beyond our control, e.g., weather, traffic delays, etc., it is impossible to guarantee a delivery date.

WHAT IF I WANT TO CANCEL MY SERVICE?
If for any reason Experienced Auto Transport cannot arrange shipment of your vehicle within 10 day after your first available date, your deposit will be refunded in full within 10 days of the cancellation. Please note, most shippers retain a portion of your deposit. Our refund policy supercedes all others.

IS MY QUOTE FOR DOOR-TO-DOOR SERVICE?
All services are door-to-door unless you specifically request otherwise. You are responsible for the accuracy of the pick up and delivery addresses. Door-to-Door means the transporter will get as close to your door as he/she can legally and safely. Many cities have restrictions on large trucks that prohibit them from driving into some residential areas. Transport trucks are enormous and need room to maneuver and turn around. So if access is impeded by narrow streets, low-hanging trees, speed bumps or tight turns, the transporter may ask that you meet the truck at a large nearby parking area.

WILL MY VEHICLE BE DRIVEN?
Your vehicle will only be driven on and off the Carrier. The mileage at pick up and delivery points will be annotated on your Bill of Lading by the transporter.

DO I HAVE TO DISABLE MY ALARM SYSTEM?
All alarm or anti-theft devices must be disarmed. Additionally, you must notify the Carrier of any installed system and provide him/her with the keys or remote. In the event that the system malfunctions during transit, the transporter is authorized to use any means he/she deems necessary to silence the system.

WILL MY VEHICLE REMAIN ON ONE CARRIER?
Yes. All deliveries are scheduled from point to point with one Carrier.

WHAT KIND OF TRUCK WILL TRANSPORT MY VEHICLE?
In most cases, your vehicle will be transported on an 8 or 10 car hauler, the same type used by auto manufacturers or local dealerships to transport new or used cars.

WHAT IS THE TRANSPORT TIME?
The delivery time is dependent upon your route. Most cross-country transports take approximately 7 to 10 days. This is only an average and cannot be more specific due to changes based upon climatic conditions, traffic delays, etc. It is recommended that you discuss with your agent for up to date conditions.

IS MY VEHICLE INSURED DURING TRANSPORT?
Yes. The Carrier insures your vehicle for the full market value during transport.

WHAT IF I AM NOT AVAILABLE WHEN THE TRANSPORTER DELIVERS MY VEHICLE?
The transporter cannot accept responsibility for your vehicle(s). You or your authorized representative must be present to accept delivery, participate in the inspection, pay the COD charges and sign the Bill of Lading. The transporter will call you 12-24 hours prior to delivery and make every effort to arrange a schedule that is convenient for you. However, if there is no one available or he/she is unable to contact you, the transporter will transport your vehicle to the nearest storage facility; and, you will be held responsible for the resultant fees.

WILL YOU TRANSPORT MY VEHICLE IF IT IS INOPERABLE?
We transport inoperable vehicles; however, there is an additional fee of $150 added to the COD amount payable to the transporter. It is your responsibility to notify the agent at the time that you schedule your transport of the operability/inoperability of your vehicle.

CAN I CHECK ON THE STATUS OF VEHICLE DURING TRANSIT?
All status checks may be directed to Experienced Auto Transport's website (www.experiencedautotransport.com) or via telephone (1-888-259-9630) Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST (Eastern Standard Time).

WHAT IF MY VEHICLE IS DAMAGED?
If damage occurs during transport, we will assist you in processing your claim against the carrier. You should notify us immediately and the claim must be filed within 7 days of delivery. It is imperative that you inspect your vehicle (with the transporter) at the time of pick up and delivery. You signature on the Bill of Lading shall be evidenced that the vehicle has been delivered satisfactorily and is damage free.

DO YOU USE OPEN OR ENCLOSED CARRIERS?
Both choices are available. An open carrier is similar to those that transport cars to and from dealerships. These carriers range in size and capacity. Vehicles that are moved via an open carrier are exposed to the same conditions as normal driving conditions. Enclosed carriers also range in size and capacity. Since these carriers are completely covered, the vehicles are not subjected to inclement weather or road conditions.

HOW DO I PREPARE MY VEHICLE?
Secure or remove any loose parts or specialty items, i.e., ground effects, spoilers, fog lights, wide mirrors and lower or remove the antenna if possible. Repair or seal any tears or open seams on convertible tops to prevent fast-moving air from causing further damage. Insure that the radiator has adequate levels of fresh antifreeze. The battery should be secure, have no leaks, and fluid levels should be low enough to accommodate expansion. Leave only about ¼ tank of gas in the vehicle. Finally, make sure that your vehicle is clean enough to ensure an accurate pick up inspection. Slightly open one window to relieve pressure due to temperature and elevation changes. This will allow for your vehicle(s) to breathe and protect window(s) from blowing out because of the temperature and pressure changes during transport.
